San Diego Sunrise Management Company Unpaid Wages Lawsuit

District Court of Arizona, Case No. 2:22-cv-01174-DJH

On July 24, 2022, a former San Diego Sunrise Management Company employee filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona to recover unpaid overtime and unpaid wages, including bonuses he alleges that he earned during his employment at Sunrise.  Sunrise is a rental property management firm with employees in Arizona, Nevada, and California.

In the Complaint, the former Sunrise employee who worked as a Leasing Professional in Arizona for an hourly wage alleged that Sunrise violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay him all the overtime he was due, in part because he says the company failed to factor in his non-discretionary bonuses into his overtime rate and pay him all the overtime he was due.  The former Leasing Professional at Sunrise also alleges that he is due unpaid wages under Arizona law, resulting in part from Sunrise’s alleged failure to pay him non-discretionary bonuses he earned before leaving his employment at the company.

Through his lawsuit, the former Leasing Professional at Sunrise alleges that the case should be certified as a collective and class action to recover unpaid wages and overtime on behalf of all the Sunrise Leasing Professionals in Arizona allegedly subject to these wage practices.
